DESCRIZIONE: La Gazania Nivea è una semplice pianta erbacea, perenne e sempreverde, dallo sviluppo rapido e dal portamento folto e tappezzante, originaria dell’Africa meridionale. Le foglie, lanceolate con margini lisci ed apice acuto, leggermente coriacee ed alterne, tomentose e pertanto di un bellissimo colore grigio argenteo, costituiscono un cespo fitto e rivestono i brevi fusti stoloniferi che da questo si dipartono: questi ultimi, orientandosi in ogni direzione, coprono il suolo in modo fitto, creando robusti tappeti sui quali, a partire dalla primavera e sino all’autunno successivo e sollevandosi di poco su sottili steli, si esibiscono vistose corolle margheritiformi bianche o rosa, gialle o arancioni, talvolta con la base dei petali macchiata di nero

DESCRIPTION: The Gazania Nivea is a simple herbaceous plant, perennial and evergreen, with rapid development and thick and covering, native to southern Africa. The leaves, lanceolate with smooth margins and acute apex, slightly coriaceous and alternate, tomentose and therefore of a beautiful silvery grey colour, constitute a dense tuft and cover the short stoloniferous stems that depart from this: the latter, oriented in every direction, cover the soil in a dense way, creating robust carpets on which, starting from spring and up to the following autumn and rising slightly on thin stems, they exhibit showy white or pink daisies, yellow or orange, sometimes with the base of the petals stained with black
