DESCRIZIONE: Il Frassino maggiore è un albero imponente ed elegante, capace di raggiungere grandi altezze. Le sue gemme nere invernali, che spiccano sui rami nudi, si schiudono in primavera per liberare belle foglie pennate di un verde brillante. Il suo legno chiaro, flessibile e molto resistente agli urti, è ricercato fin dall’antichità. Una curiosità affascinante: nella mitologia norrena, l’Yggdrasil, l’immenso “Albero del Mondo” che sosteneva e collegava l’intero universo e i nove regni, era considerato proprio un frassino gigante.

DESCRIPTION: The European Ash is an imposing and elegant tree, capable of reaching great heights. Its striking black winter buds, which stand out on bare branches, open in spring to release beautiful, bright green pinnate leaves. Its light-colored wood, flexible and highly shock-resistant, has been sought after since antiquity. A fascinating fact: in Norse mythology, Yggdrasil, the immense “World Tree” that supported and connected the entire universe and the nine realms, was considered to be a giant ash tree.
